Cosmetic Tattoo Care

  • Please book your appointment well within any plans to go swimming whether at home or on holidays. Once your eyebrows are tattooed, you cannot get them wet for a full 5 days after.

  • Avoid getting the brows wet for 5 whole days. This includes swimming in the pool, the ocean, showering and bathing. Day 6 is when you can get them wet again.

Do not apply makeup or moisturisers over the brows while in the healing process.

Do not pick, scratch or itch at the brows. If they feel dry and itchy, please make use of the after care cream provided.

  • Avoid getting the brows wet.

You can start applying your aftercare cream that was provided to you between 1 and 2 times per day.

Apply with a clean cotton tip to avoid infection. Use only a minimal pea sized amount and layer over each brow gently.

  • Avoid getting the brows wet.

Do not pick, scratch or itch at the brows.

Continue applying the hydrating aftercare cream.

  • You can now get them wet.

If there is any scabbing, gently rub and roll them off to reveal the true colour underneath.

The colour will be from 20-40% lighter than Day 1, depending on the colour of the pigment and your skin type.

Avoid applying active serums and moisturisers directly onto your brows.

Try and keep your brows out of direct sunlight to avoid premature fading.

  • Please bring along a colour you love or some photos for inspiration.

Drink plenty of water in the 72 hours prior to your appointment as well as plenty on the day of your appointment so your lips are as hydrated as possible.

Apply lip balm frequently for 72 hours prior to your appointment to ensure hydration is maximised. Avoid lipsticks as they are drying.

Please avoid caffeine and alcohol 8 hours before your appointment.

Please visit your pharmacy and purchase some numbing cream over the counter. You will also need to buy some cold sore antivirals available over the counter if you have ever had a cold sore. Even if you have only ever had one, we cannot risk the chance of any breakouts as it’ll ruin your lip blush tattoo. Please consume the medication 30 minutes before the appointment time.

  • For 12 hours after your appointment, please avoid eating chilli, drinking hot drinks and kissing.

From Day 1, you can start applying your aftercare cream that was provided to you. Keep this cream with you at all times for frequent application.

Apply as often as every 1-2 hours or as soon as you cannot feel slipperiness on your lips, apply again.

Continue applying aftercare cream frequently for 5 days.

Your lips will start to peel or flake from the inner lip out to the lip line. Please do not pick them! Let skin flakes fall off or slip away by themselves. If you pick them, you’ll lose your lip line.

Continue your aftercare cream until Day 5. Your lips will go through a healing process of being darker on Day 1, then peeling on Days 2 and 3 and then lastly, revealing the border on Day 3 or 4.

  • Please bring some photos for inspiration. Particularly, some photos of yourself and how you prefer to apply your make-up will be helpful.

  • Avoid getting the eye area wet for 5 whole days after treatment.

Do not touch, pick or scratch the treated area to avoid infection.

Avoid using eye makeup, particularly mascara, whilst you are healing.

Stay away from activities that cause sweating or exposure to water, including saunas, sports and exercise, and swimming pools.

Avoid any other makeup treatments for at least one month.

Protect your eyeliner tattoo from excessive sun exposure and avoid swimming in chlorinated water.
